1977

Up until now, 30 April 2017, the above was the only information I had for this season. The report below had been kept by my cousin, who had very recently passed away, and was found among his family photos. It goes without saying that I would have preferred to have received it in a lot better circumstances. My thanks to my lovely cousin Josephine, for passing it on, and to Fred for caring enough to keep it safe for some 42 years.

1974 / 1975 Season

The final season in the Houghton & District League  and the club signed off in style as Champions and Durham Hospital Cup Winners  again.

This was the last season for Harry Clark and Norman T Taylor. Harry, who started in 1967 continued his excellent service with the club until 1986 with roles which included coach and manager. Norman started in 1964, the clubs second season, and played some 410 games and was a member of the committee, in various roles, until 1999. He is now one of the clubs Life Presidents.

The only other information available on this season is the article below from the Sunderland Echo in January of 1975.
